The Global Sumud Flotilla is a coalition of everyday people—organizers, humanitarians, doctors, artists, clergy, lawyers, and seafarers—who believe in human dignity and the power of nonviolent action. In June, they launched a globally coordinated mobilization by land, sea, and air. In Summer, they return with a unified strategy: one goal and global coordination like never before.
The Global Sumud Flotilla's efforts are built on decades of Palestinian resistance and international solidarity. Though they belong to/hold different nations, faiths, and political beliefs, they are united by a single truth: the siege and genocide must end. They are independent, international, and unaffiliated with any government or political party. Their allegiance is to justice, freedom, and the sanctity of human life.
FFC Salutes Global Sumud Flotilla Launch
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition salutes the Global Sumud Flotilla, a coalition composed of the Global Movement to Gaza, Sumud Convoy, Sumud Nusantara, members of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, and other organizers. Our hearts will follow every flotilla and everyone who is fighting for a Free Palestine.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition came into being in 2010 and guides its work in accordance with explicit goals and plans of the people in Gaza. Their direct action missions support the dignity and humanity of Palestinians, working with civil society partners, rather than any party, faction or government. Their actions against the blockade are always governed by the principles of non-violence and non-violent resistance.
