Sara Kamoun is a specialist in international human rights, humanitarian affairs, and post-conflict security, with experience spanning the UN system, academic institutions, and international organizations. Her work focuses on advancing protection, inclusion, and locally driven peacebuilding, with prior roles at OHCHR, UNMAS, and Sida.

Sara holds a Master’s degree in Wat Studies from the Swedish Defence University.

Nour MOUJAES (Lebanon)

Nour is an international relations and political science professional with experience in business development, program advising, and communications. She has contributed to initiatives with UNMAS and other international organizations, focusing on building partnerships, strengthening outreach, and amplifying impactful messaging.


Nour holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Hertfordshire.

Stephen LYAJOON (Mauritius)

With a background in criminology, human development, and environmental sustainability, Stephen Lyajoon is a published multidisciplinary researcher focused on integrating social development and environmental sustainability. His diversified professional portfolio spans the academic, intergovernmental, and corporate sectors, including work at the Social Development Division of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). He is now planning to pursue his PhD

Stephen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, specializing in Criminal Sociology (Glasgow Caledonian University) and a Master’s degree in Environment, Development & Sustainability (Chulalongkorn University).

Campaign Manager

Skylar JOSEPH (USA)

Skylar Joseph is a forensic anthropologist and archaeologist focusing on human rights and humanitarian contexts, and is currently pursuing her PhD at Leiden University Law School, with her research focusing on the missing and deceased migration crisis in the Central Mediterranean. Since 2017, she has been the Lead Bioarchaeologist and a Field Supervisor for the Tell Timai Archaeological Project in Egypt. She has previously gained experience at the ICRC Forensic Unit (Geneva, CH), the Massachusetts OCME (Boston, USA), and the US Committee on Refugees and Immigrants (NY, USA). In her free time, she works on a variety of community engagement projects, including creating an Indigenous film screening series in Amsterdam (NL) to raise awareness and build networks of solidarity. 

Skylar holds two Master of Science degrees in Forensic Anthropology (Boston University) and Human Rights (SUNY Binghamton), and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and History (University of Minnesota Morris).

Safina VIRANI (Uganda)

Safina Virani is a feminist and gender-based violence (GBV) advocate specializing in sexual violence prevention and survivor support. Her background includes supporting refugee communities integration in Uganda, where she witnessed firsthand the intersection of displacement, gender inequality, and systemic violence. Recognized for her impactful advocacy, Safina was named a laureate of the Initiative Marianne 2023, an honor awarded for her relentless commitment to advancing women's rights.

Safina holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations concentrating in Peace and Conflict Studies and is pursuing a Master's in International Governance and Diplomacy.

Nadine SCHELLEKENS

Nadine Schellekens is a strategist and communicator with a background in environmental economics, design thinking, and international consulting. She has worked across sectors to support education, sustainability, and impact-oriented businesses, with experience ranging from working with Western business executives to local schoolchildren in Mauritius, where she now lives and works.


Nadine holds a BSc in Industrial Design (University of Technology Eindhoven) and a MSc in Environmental Economics (University of Amsterdam).

Human Rights, Justice & Accountability Manager

Ro GUERRA (Spain)

Ro Guerra is a humanitarian and forensic scientist specialising in human identification, with experience in post-conflict recovery, humanitarian field mission and a focus in digital technologies for forensic science. Currently she coordinates forensic and training efforts at Panacea, a software development cooperative focused on forensic tools and is Head of Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology at the European Training Center of Active Forensic Science and Disaster Victim Identification (ETAF), an NGO aimed at building capacity in places affected by conflict. 

Ro holds a degree in Archaeology and is completing her PhD in Forensic Anthropology at the University of Granada.

Diplomatic Outreach  Manager

Joseph MOZOKIN (UK)

Joseph Mozokin is an international human rights advocate and consultant specialising in multilateral diplomacy and the use of United Nations mechanisms to advance global human rights standards. His work spans negotiating UN Human Rights Council resolutions, supporting the drafting of international legal frameworks, and advising on the creation of new multilateral processes. Joseph is routinely called to provide evidence to UN bodies on issues related to migrant rights, enforced disappearances, and independent monitoring. 


Joseph holds a Master’s degree in Political Analysis and Public Policy.

Creative Team Coordination

Haneen NOFAL (Palestine)

Haneen Nofal is a multidisciplinary visual artist and educational content creator from Gaza, specializing in animation, awareness media, and community-based psychosocial support through art. She began her career producing animated films on social issues, then joined UNRWA’s Education in Emergencies programme to co-create curriculum-based animated episodes for children and contributed to UNRWA TV campaigns on explosive remnants of war and gender-based discrimination. As a designer and creative liaison with UNMAS, she played a key role in developing and localizing risk education materials for communities affected by explosive hazards. Her work included awareness songs, interactive educational games, printed materials, and visual campaigns promoting safe behavior among children, women, and other at-risk groups in post-conflict environments.

 

Haneen holds a BA in English Language Education and a Professional Diploma in Translation from the Islamic University of Gaza, and a Diploma in Animation from UCAS. She also completed training in Child Rights (UNICEF), Psychological First Aid, multimedia production, and illustration.

He is an advocate for sustainable development, multilateral dialogue, and concrete action for people and the planet, working to inspire hope and tangible outcomes for future generations.


Riana holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies and Diplomacy from the University for Peace (UN-mandated).

Known for principled leadership and strategic expertise, R.N. consistently brings depth and advocacy to every role.
